If this is an unofficial Rochas Man sequel--Rochas Man Extreme, if you will--it also serves as a Mugler Pure Havane prototype. A tonka overload for sure but along with the other pyramid notes it all comes out to a fruity cherry pipe tobacco blend.

Longevity has suffered with my June 2021 bottle with 6 hours of longevity and sillage of max 1 hour. So yeah, it's a woody, leathery 80's kind of office wear scent, but updated with vanilla and amber for the enjoyment of the 20-something women you meet. It was a solid, leathery fougere that while powerful never was so over-the-top that it couldn't be worn as a good daily scent. The first hour of the drydown is to die for as the aroma fades into a bitter and fresh tobacco accord that plays around with the fading middle notes. On the top The tonka makes the fragrance goes a little into the gourmand zone, giving it a chocolate with a little of vanilla (which makes it a little powdery) and that sour „cherry” vibe makes a nice combination. Pay attention that there's no tobacco listed as note in this one, so I am not sure what exactly gives this essence in the dry down. The floral note and tonka gives it that cherry tobacco smell that has perplexed some of us as it is not in the pyramid.

I always considered Aramis to be the torch bearer of good quality affordable fragrances that are reformulated well.My uncle passed away last night and it was a cool, crisp spring morning today, so I decided to reach for my favourite from the house to honour the situation, Bogart signature. if you ever had 'one man show', well that one is also noticeble in this one of course BUT this one is softer, greener, soapier, smoother, much better. However, in my humble opinion, the Bogart Pour homme is far superior and it has an excellent fixation and projects a lot. I bought this about a year back and even though the smell is okay, not a big fan of sweet frags, though it isn't overly sweet.

You won't like this if you are only into freshies/blues/gourmands, and you probably won't be able to appreciate this unless you are at least 40 years old. This smells a little retro but maintains its relevance by being well blended and offering great performance. It's like the middle phase doesn't exist, the transition from the aromatic opening to the sweet tobacco-vanilla uniform dry down is quick and un-gradual. Bogarts sex juice, this is stunning and along with Silver Scent Intense is my most complimented fragrance. If you are looking for a new fragrance to add to your collection, I would definitely recommend giving Bogart Eau de Toilette a try. In fact, behind the two fragrances, there are the same expert hands of the master perfumers, Maurice Roucel and Norbert Bijaoui. This is really a powdery fougere-gourmand that has some clear resemblance to Rochas Man, which makes sense, considering that Maurice Roucel did Rochas Man five years before working on the Bogart alongside Norbert Bijaoui.
