It has never been deleted and re-issued, just new editions and pressings made available for the same chart run. So, for listening, without touching the recordings, and limiting the choice to Gold or the albums -- I'll take the ORIGINAL Sw Polar, Eu Polydor (the originals are mostly the same, modulo a few minor selections -- but the signal quality is mostly totally identical on the originals) over and above ANY commerially available remasters. This one contains the few hits left off the other plus the bonus material from The Singles compilation.

In 2002, Gold: Greatest Hits was released in mainland Europe (though not in the UK) with a bonus second disc. Whilst I acknowledge the songs are not quite all as brilliant as Abba Gold (1) the CD is still pretty good with more excellent songs on it like Eagle, The day before you came and I was pleased with it. ABBA didn’t even begin to exhaust their long list of international chart-busters when they released ABBA Gold. The track listing was similar to the original album, with some added content: a 25-minute documentary produced in 1999, and the 1992 video of "Dancing Queen". imho 'dancing queen' 'fernando' 'chiquitita' and a few othrs boardered on ultra-cheese , although they, like all abba compositions were fantastic pop music.

The album closes with 'The Way Old Friends Do', a kind of song that could be sung before a song like 'Auld Lang Syne' as it has the same uniting pull of that song. Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. ABBA said they recorded every track as though it were a possible single meaning they worked as hard as they could on each track.

The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

If ABBA's "artsiness" was a much later development, then how do you explain 1977's "Eagle," which sounds like a perfect fusion of Giorgio Moroder, Pink Floyd and Station to Station-era Bowie? Several years back, I wound up purchasing all of ABBA's studio albums on CD and the first thing I did was recreate that cassette by making myself a 2 CD-R set containing Greatest Hits on one disc and Greatest Hits Volume 2 on the other. assistant engineer: Björn Almstedt ( mastering engineer), Åke Eldsäter, Lennart Karlsmyr and Rune Persson ( Engineer) engineer: Michael B.

Tretow producer: Benny Andersson ( ABBA) and Björn Ulvaeus alto saxophone and tenor saxophone: Lars O.As a kid, one of the very few "rock" albums my parents had was a cassette copy of Greatest Hits on side one of the tape and Greatest Hits Volume 2 on side two of the tape.
